141st Polio, Corrective Surgery & Prosthetic Limbs Camp

The 141st Polio, Corrective Surgery and Prosthetic Limb distribution camp was held at  The Bharat Vikas Sanjay Anand Viklang (Disabled) Hospital and Research Centre.

This camp was organised in the memory of Pt. Bhudev Narayan Jha & O P Jha.

We are extremely grateful for the contribution of Dr S S Jha (Orthopaedic Surgeon),  Dr Mithilesh Kumar, Dr Jivendu Choudhary, Dr Ashok Vatsyayan and Dr Ravi Khandelwal with the help of Dr Ajit Vrma (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation).

We are exceptionally grateful to Shri Jibesh Mishra (Honourable Minister of Information and Technology, Govt of Bihar) for gracing this occasion with his presence.

Our Causes

Cataract Surgeries & IOU Lens Implants

Eye surgeries are conducted for the removal of cataract and the implantation of IOU Lenses. One hundred surgeries are conducted per month since June 1996 to date.

Soup Kitchen

A Soup Kitchen is sponsored twice a week in Staten Island, New York for the past 20 years.

Approximately 3600 poor people are fed annually through the Soup Kitchens sponsored by the Foundation.

Charitable Hospital & Research Centre

A hospital has been built in Patna, India, in collaboration with The Bharat Vikas Viklang Punarvas Kendra, to provide prosthetic limbs to the disabled and opened a surgery ward for Polio surgeries for young children.

Adopt A Highway

We have also adopted a one mile stretch of the West Shore Expressway, in Staten Island, New York through the Adopt-A-Highway program from the department of transport.
