The Adopt A Highway program is a tax-deductible opportunity for proud New Yorkers to give back to their community by ensuring clean and beautiful roadways in the New York City area.

From 1996 to 2022 The Sanjay Anand Charitable Foundation (SACF) adopted one mile of the highway on the West Shore Expressway in Staten Island, New York. This one-mile stretch of the expressway was adopted by Sunil and Anu Anand in the loving memory of their son Sanjay. As it was on this expressway that they lost their son.
